Well, this year has been kicking my ass, but... we have all been in this boat together in some way, shape or form. I regret that the intensity of the changes in my world was such that I even stopped communicating for a while.
Covid has provided us all many challenges and for my part, I rose to each challenge to the best of my ability. With the insight and advice of family and a friend, I moved to Langley immediately at the shutdown to stretch my pennies and wait out the worst of the storm.
My health failed sharply with the stress of the traumatic and sudden life changes, leaving me with setbacks in my adrenal health. Some of you know I experienced adrenal failure a couple years back and the journey to health has been slow but steady. I had an upbeat attitude though and the news came that we might be able to return to work with proper protocols but then I went for surgery. Towards the end of recovery from surgery, I realized I needed to choose my next step carefully and that I was not fee...
What a difficult time of stress and uncertainty we are facing! And on the other hand, what an amazing opportunity to slow down, breathe, get off the train of frenetic high paced living and reconnect with loved ones, including our fur babies... they are so patient in waiting for our love and attention. Bless them!!!
Whatever occupies you and preoccupies you these days, I am sending each of you best wishes for peace in your hearts, health in your bodies and a RICH time of reassessing your dreams!
My hands may be itching to treat each of you and help ease the aches and pains of life, injuries and yes... stress. But for now, it's one day at a time and we are all uncertain of what next week will bring or how long our lives will be hamstrung by this pandemic.
Let me express my deepest gratitude to each of you for your business and friendship! May you and your families remain safe and well!!!
I'm having so much fun accumulating gifts for the Draw coming up that I now have a small mountain! What does this mean? This means there will be 4 WINNERS instead of 1!!!
The Grand Prize is a $75 Gift Certificate to Milestones (but may be used at a few other places if you so choose).
The runner up will receive a Bliss Float experience for the up to 90 minute luxury soak in roughly 1,000 lbs of epsom salts. The amazing benefits I enjoy from going are notable pain relief, deep muscle relaxation and the soothing sensation of being weightless and craddled. So glad to be able to share this wonder with one of you!
The third prize is a home spa package including the BEST bath bombs from our local company, Heavenly Bliss, as well as a variety of teas and an exfoliating loofah.
The fouth prize is my favourite lotion for your neck massages when I treat you... the delicious smelling coconut/lemon scented Everyone Lotion from Na...
To my dear and faithful clients, effective April 1, 2019, I will implement the first change to my treatment rates in 5 years. I have lagged behind our industry standard for some time now unawares. Not all change is pleasant but it is necessary that I keep pace with my colleagues and the CMTBC policies and standards of practice. Thank you for your understanding and kind patronage. New Rates are as indicated on my website and Schedulicity.
March is going to be a fantastic month and it's a perfect time to celebrate YOU and my new space. The final decorations will be installed in early March and I can't wait to show you my champagne dream on a beer budget. Made possible by volunteers and gifts for much of it! Thank you to each one!!! I am assembling an amazing prize for the winner of a draw. To enter, please book a treatment with me for any time in March. Each appointment booked will result in a separate entry to win the gift. I can reveal that it includes a dining Gift Certificate and luxury locally made bath and body products (with only the best aromatherapy)... so far. Still building the prize. Enter now, enter often :-) Thank you and see you soon!
(winner's name cannot be released due to the protection of your privacy as clients)
It's official! I am in a new space, at 141 Victoria St., Suite #209. It's the golden building with Bikini Bills on the street level. Take the elevator up to Level 2 and you'll find me there. Yes, it has an elevator!!! I'm happy for the change and I know you'll appreciate it as well. Can't wait to see you at your next appointment!
Greetings my dears. It's been a long while since I posted. Winter was not kind to many and I found the need to stick close to home with the cold weather and lung issues that plagued me.
The sun is out and I am back! Many of you came faithfully to receive treatment through those cold snowy months and my heart is overflowing with gratitude to each of you!
I am planning a Summer schedule to include Fridays and exclude Sundays. Sorry to those who have grown somewhat attached to Sundays. I have found weekends in Summer to be ideal for clients to get away camping and on various outings. This change will take effect by the end of May and I may revisit this come Fall.
Enjoy the warm sunny weather and hopefully see you on the table soon!
Just a reminder coming out to everyone that I do need 24 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment. Emergencies are the exception of course. If you aren't at the clinic at your appointment time, or need to change appointments within 24 hours of your scheduled treatment, the full treatment fee is applicable. I am occasionally able to fill your time when you move an appointment within the 24 hour period and in this event, you are not charged anything. I have extended a first time grace to every patient to ensure they are aware of my policy.
Also, if you arrive late for your appointment, you will still be charged the full fee and be treated for the time remaining.
Please take advantage of my automatic e-mail reminders through Schedulicity, my online booking system. This can save you time, money and the effort of remembering your appointment.
I have been very distracted from blogging in the past few months. 2 house moves later, I am back and settling into life in my 3rd house since June. Wow. So, what's changed? My phone number for one. My business number is (250) 377-5897 now. Sorry but having 2 phones was not efficient in the end.
I also experienced my first 2 MRI's. Not pleasant, but not as bad as expected. The experience was useful as the 2nd MRI involving dye left me horribly stiff and sore. This led to booking 2 massage appointments with a colleague and the result was that neck and jaw work relieved my lumbosacral discomfort. Simply, I was reminded that neck and jaw work are linked to low back pain and can relieve it.
Come see me if you suffer with low back pain and in addition to my usual approach to lumbago, sciatica, pseudo-sciatica and so on, I will check out your jaw and neck to see if we can create longer term relief from your symptoms.
So, I was told by faithful long-termers if I worked Sunday, they would happily see me then, rather than racing to city centre after work on a weekday.
I am officially open for Sundays. When you check my online calendar and you see Sunday times available, it's not a mistake. So, for the foreseen future, most Sundays will be an option for you; if that works better than a weekday.
Sadly there are only 4 spots available each Sunday and the first week filled quickly, so you may need to plan ahead if this time suits you best.
